This weekend we find ourselves with much more snow in Toronto than we’ve received in years. It really drives home how much I’ve missed a snow cover. Having grown up in the snowbelt off Lake Huron, the relatively warmer winters in Toronto by the lake, coupled with climate change, have made the snow disappear a lot quicker than I’d have liked.
Below is a photo from this morning out our winder overlooking the Gardiner:

In advance of our coming move at the end of May, we’ve been trying to check off some Toronto things. Last night, we met up with a new friend at Bar Mordecai on Dundas West. It had an awesome feeling to it. The drinks were quite good and fun, and as far as Toronto bar prices go, reasonable. I’d heard of it as a place you’d see in a Wes Anderson movie, and I completely agree!

Today and tomorrow we’re continuing the never-ending task of going through our belongings to assess what we’re going to bring with us to Whitehorse, this time focusing on the items under our bed and in the closet. Here’s to hoping we can give away/donate/recycle/throw out at least a few things.
