Quick Trip to Kingston

Last week I took the train to Kingston for a quick trip. I’d never been before, and there was a workshop Queens was putting on regarding geosynthetics and barriers. I won’t bore you with the state of practice for geosynthetics in mining, but will describe a few other bits.

The train out went well, however it became delayed due to a train ahead of us striking someone in Brighton. I was able to get some work done before arriving into Kingston only two hours late.

I met with some colleagues and ate at the Black Dog. The food was excellent and I would definitely recommend it! That being said, I had the TS song stuck in my head the entire time.

After a lovely day in the workshop, I headed home. We were treated to amazing weather the entire time, and I had a window seat on the way back with views over Lake Ontario.
