We celebrated Canada Day by heading south past Carcross to see the Venus Mine. While it was a popular spot, we still found time to be alone on the trail. The trail was pretty easy most of the way up and there are lots of spots for some micro-breaks along the way.

Here we are approaching the mine! There are a few spots where recent minor landslides have occurred, but they were pretty well established across.

The mine workings are still in pretty good shape here, although they have certainly seen some stuff if you look at pictures from over 20 years ago.

It was a lot of fun, and it wasn’t too difficult. It was pretty hot though!
