Grey Mountain Visit

Kayla was back in Ontario, so I took a quick trip up Grey Mountain!

I will say – the road is quite good for most of the way up and there are plenty of turnarounds and pulloffs for you if/when you chicken out. Our Bronco Sport comfortably made it to within a half kilometre of the cell tower. Some pickup trucks with more clearance had made it top the top but the last bit was a little too sketchy for me on my first time up the mountain.

The trail itself is pretty clear, although there are some webs here and there which could take you on a sidetrip.

There are excellent views from the top of the mountain. You can see out to Marsh Lake, off to Whitehorse, and into the backcountry around Cantlie Lake.

This trail is one which I definitely recommend. If you stop driving early it isn’t a tough hike and the views are completely worth it. Stay within your comfort zone on the drive!
