Post-move visit through the White Pass

After settling into our new home, we did a daytrip down through the White Pass. My sister and her partner were looking for some views and the chance to see some birds, so off we went. We stayed true in our resolve to not spend a dime in the USA until they boot their cheeto-in-chief and stop the “51st state” crap. But anyways…

We started with a stop at the Carcross Desert, as all trips through Carcross must. The sun was starting to peek out, although the wind was quite heavy.

Up next, we stopped at another classic viewpoint – the spot overlooking Bove Island.

We made several stops along the way to soak in the views, including Summit Lake.

We crossed the border quite quickly, they seemed most concerned with what kind of food we might be bringing across the border. After crossing, we went to Lower Reid Falls.

We then puttered around the town, looking at some of the architecture and old buildings. The Arctic Brotherhood building made a nice photo with its driftwood facade.

After popping over quickly to Dyea in search of puffins, we headed home.
